Answering The Call From The Universe

The universe is inviting us to grow, to step into the next phase, the next level of our evolution.

We're familiar with the person we've been up until this point, right? We know her wounds, the trauma she's carried. We recognize how she views the world; we identify with it, we stay in it.

But now we're being invited to shed the old ways of being, to step through and into a more expansive version of self.

It's hard to deny how chaotic the energy has been over the past couple of years. And instead of settling down and returning to "normal," the planetary and cosmic energies seem to be ramping up.

Just over a week ago we completed the 2022 eclipse season. Eclipses always ante up the drama and intensity. But we also had planetary energies that contributed their own chaos - retrogrades surfacing anger and hostility, planets completing 58 - 60 year cycles, the moon in a sign that's all about rebirth and breakthroughs.

The continued influx of energies seems to have one goal and that is to force to the surface that which has been ignored, buried, or avoided. One way or another, our stuff - patterns, wounds, conditioning, trauma - will show itself so we can resolve, release, and heal it.

As always, we have a choice.

We can continue to resist it (even though it becomes increasingly difficult to do so), or we can surrender.

Some people view surrender as being weak, as giving up, as losing. I see it differently. For me, surrender is when I stop fighting; it's when I stop pushing in an uphill battle after having exhausted all avenues. It's giving myself permission to pivot, to receive. It's allowing myself the option of changing and choosing something else.

And I get it: change can be scary ... the fear of the unknown and all the baggage this encompasses. It can feel overwhelming.

But what happens if you exchange fear for curiosity?

What if being curious creates the space needed so you can look at the things that are surfacing and see them for what they are?

The childhood trauma, the relationships past their expiration date, the unfulfilling job, the settling, the lack of abundance, the ways you hold yourself back, the patterns that keep you stuck ... what if these things were your experience INSIDE the cocoon, and the universe is now inviting you to break OUT of the cocoon?

The cosmic energies that are currently bathing us in light support our growth and transformation. They invite us to break through, to shed the old and birth something new in the process.

What does this new version of reality look like? It could be anything - big or small, loud or quiet. Maybe it's a willingness to receive abundance, or maybe it's choosing to let yourself be seen. Maybe it's allowing your feminine power to reveal itself, or embracing the goddess energy. Maybe it's getting started on the book you've always wanted to write, or dusting off the canvases and painting again. Maybe it's sharing your knowledge and gifts via YouTube videos, or starting your own business.

And if you're already stepping into expansion, maybe it's about reaching for the thing - the dream, the achievement, the embodiment - that you've already decided is unattainable.
